Cardo x Fusalp: a natural collaboration

10 July 2017

In 2013, enthusiastic swimmer Emmanuelle Cardosi decided to take charge and create the swim cap of her dreams, meaning functional and easy to put on and take off without pulling out her hair. The cap was tested and approved by a synchronized swimming team in Las Vegas, so she went to the United States to take photos.

No swimsuit matched the caps? No problem, she made a prototype for the shoot. The photos and videos were widely shared and the orders poured in . . . for the swimsuit!

And voilà, Cardo was in the beachwear business. A lucky meeting with Fusalp immediately inspired the two brands to work together on their common niche, water board sports. Their collaborative collection bears both names. It takes the codes that made Cardo a success: a quick drying, second-skin fabric with a high percentage of elastane; lining with good hold that keeps out the cold; a no-rub printed label; and a long zip closure for putting on and taking off the swimsuit quickly.

The result is, of course, a style that’s athletic but also feminine. Four swimsuits in Fusalp colours (blue, white, and red) make up the collection: two one-pieces, one with a plunging neckline, and two two-pieces.
