Founded in 1927, Bischoff Textil is one of the major embroidery producers based in the Swiss region of Saint Gallen. Synonymous with innovation and tradition, the company is known for the quality of its products and for its creative designs, many of which are, even now, inspired by the sumptuous hand-made embroidery from the Appenzellerland region.

Bischoff Textil, which possesses a substantial number of archives, has chosen to invest in the most up-to-date equipment developed by the leading embroidery machine manufacturers in the St Gallen area. In 1993, Bischoff Textil AG was the first company in the embroidery industry to obtain ISO certification.

Today, Bischoff Textil SA has partners in Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. The firm supplies internationally renowned lingerie brands (Chantelle, Hanro, Aimer, Passionata, Wacoal), as well as top names in the fashion world (Armani, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Gucci). Bischoff Textil conducts numerous specific projects and developments with its partner companies and is also present in the home textiles market.

Keen to retain its edge in terms of design while still offering a broad line of products accessible to all, in late 2016 the company launched a new collection of contemporary embroideries called “Essentials”. The range gives clients such as H&M, Zara, and Marks & Spencer reasonably priced premium embroideries, made either in Switzerland or China depending on the clients’ manufacturing needs.
