Junior Srl, a family company founded in 1971, is renowned for its embroideries. The Italian company reports €4.4 million in sales and employs 43 people. At the Cairate site which uses solar power, Junior embroiders between 10,000 and 50,000 metres of fabric each month. Production capacity is 1.5 million metres yearly. Stock comprises 200,000 metres of fabric and 50,000 kg of threads.
Junior uses the latest generation embroidery machines: 10 Saurer Epoca machines, six equipped with Schiffly laser cutting systems; three multi-head machines with laser cutting systems for creating samples; and two machines for finishings. The new quality control laboratory uses cutting-edge equipment (datacolor technology, dynanometer, light cabinets, etc.).
The Oeko-Tex and REACH certified collections present a large choice of embroideries including bands, allovers, and placed motifs. Products cover the range from traditional embroideries on tulles and guipures to very sophisticated, laser-cut sequined designs. The collections are organised by market: lingerie, swimwear/activewear, and outerwear/ready-to-wear. Embroidery designs can easily change from one category to another by changing the ground or threads. Minimum order requirements are relatively low.
Junior exports half of its output – mostly to France, Japan, and China. The company has agents in Spain, France, China, Japan, and the United States. Its client portfolio includes illustrious names such as Lise Charmel, Max Mara, Zimmermann, Pain de Sucre, Parah, Sandro, Moncler, Alberta Ferretti, Ermanno Scervino, Selmark, Blue Life, Soah, Firefox, and Ambra Lingerie.
