New technologies: something magic in the air…

9 July 2017

o Aqua Mirage by JY Textile: two techniques are combined to make a surprising print known as Aqua Mirage. A reversible hydrochromic print makes the pattern disappear when the fabric is dry and sweat-transfer technology on the outside allows the motifs to reappear thanks to the moisture released when the fabric is damp.

o Viscomagic® by Seiren: using Viscotec’s® high-tech digital print technology, a unique print process which preserves the environment, offers perfect stability and infinite colour options, Seiren is offering a new control fabric with a special treatment: Viscomagic®. Polyester is dissolved to create a 3D-effect, printed functional fabric with a bodymapping knit to offer different power zones depending on the material dissolved.

o Glow in the Dark by Ritex 2002: designed for the swimwear and lifestyle markets, this new material produced by the Spanish circular knit specialist features a luminescent yarn to make it glow in the dark. A lightly-structured stretch knit, it is made from polyamide (62%) and polyester (29%), weighs in at 205g/m² and comes in black, white, tomato red, lime and aqua versions.
