A new hybrid – live and virtual- trade show format is currently underway for Curve New York, the #1 Intimate apparel B2B event in North America which has been postponed to September 21-23 at the Javits Center. “Our priority over the past few months has been to keep the community connected beyond the Curve show floor. We made more content available online, have been hosting weekly webinar series with the whole intimate apparel industry, went live on social media, all while continuing to plan for the next face-to-face events. Curve is becoming “phygital” and moving more into a hybrid of a physical and digital business platform for the industry. Beyond responding to the constraints of COVID-19, this hybridization allows an increase in the customization of the interactions, creating more bespoke, experiences both offline and online simultaneously. This will also allow brands and buyers that cannot join us in person to still play an active part in Curve and create business opportunities for them” says Marion Pradier-Sentucq, Director of Sales and Marketing at Curve.

Thanks to this exclusive partnership between Eurovet Americas, the Fashion division of Comexposium USA, and Grip, the smart Event Matchmaking Software, Curve exhibitors will be able to host both physical and remote meetings live from their physical booths and showcase their products. Curve buyers will schedule appointments with their vendors, digitally browse and discover new brands, and virtually shop new lingerie collections for their customers. For Curve exhibitors, using the technology will drive extra virtual “foot traffic” and sales opportunities. “Exhibitors using Grip saw 41% increase in lead capture. Grip software uses Artificial Intelligence to enable trade show participants to connect with the right people efficiently. Many digital features will be available for Curve participants. The lingerie brands will organize 1:1 virtual meeting with new and existing specialty stores recommended for them. They will also participate to speed networking sessions to generate new leads. The whole community will enjoy live streaming of conferences to stay up to date with latest trends”, explains Tim Groot, CEO and founder of Grip. “We know there is uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus, but bringing people together is the backbone of the events industry and we will aim to do this whether it’s face-to-face or in a virtual meeting room. Event professionals are always quick to adapt to the challenges facing the industry and we hope our technology and this integration will help organizers”, added Tim.

About the news of postponing the summer Curve New York show until September, Raphael Camp, Eurovet Americas CEO says:” We firmly believe that live events, people meeting and connecting face-to-face, are critical to discover, connect and do business. However, the unique situation we are living forces us to adapt our shows. We are working in close collaboration with the appropriate authorities in NY, the Javits center, our suppliers and partners, and industry associations, to ensure the proper health and safety guidelines are in place for all our events. We will welcome exhibitors and visitors under the best possible conditions. Today, with the tech and digital capabilities available, we are able to extend and amplify the experiences and connections of the intimate apparel community with a more and more sustainable approach”.
